Bluetooth Discovery for Apple Devices and Virtual LAN Support
We have just released one of our most significant firmware updates yet. Apple devices with Bluetooth capability can now effortlessly find and connect to ScreenBeam 1100 Plus and 1 000 EDU receivers. This eliminates the need for supporting Apple’s Bonjour protocol, reducing network overhead and simplifying device lists. With proximity-based discovery, only devices within range will be visible. You can enable this feature through the receiver’s Local Management Interface (LMI) or remotely via ScreenBeam CMS Enterprise.
For networks that require managed network broadcast, particularly in data and media-intensive bandwidth environments, ScreenBeam 1000 series receivers now support VLAN tagging. This feature enables seamless integration into VLAN networks and supports up to three VLANs. Simply enable this feature through the receiver’s LMI or remotely via ScreenBeam CMS Enterprise.
